This PML pan fits 2001 to present Chevrolet & GMC full size trucks with the Allison 1000 5 & 6 speed automatic transmission. This transmission is found in the Silverado & Sierra 2500HD & 3500 with the Duramax diesel and 8.1 liter gas engines.
This pan may also fit 2006 and 2007 H1 Hummers. Please check carefully for fit and interference on this vehicle.
The transmission pan features filter supports that are an integral part of the floor. The filter supports are designed to be easy to alter.
Out of the box the filter supports are set up to work with the shallow stock filter (EBAY ITEM# 290415247959). The supports can also be shortened to work with the deeper filter that Allison offers (EBAY ITEM# 260022478508) for this transmission. For the larger filter you'll need to cut the filter supports at the line designed into them for that purpose. See this image.
After cutting the supports you'll have to make sure you use the deeper filter from then on as the stock filter would fall out of the valve body.

The pan has a boss that can be machined for a temperature sensor.
